Watch: Arsenic Vol. 1 - Dune Clips & Other Shit

This is Volume 1 of our new Arsenic series I’ve been working on. The video was mostly filmed just messing around with iPhone's and a couple HD clips from our shitty little camera. The skaters featured are myself (Alex Fazekas-Boone) + Mason Burbidge aka Authentic Skateboards owner + Brien Briggs.

The Arsenic video series is centered around skating in Tacoma's Dune Peninsula park, the city's first legit street "plaza". For almost 100 years, the Asarco Company operated a copper smelter at the site of the now Dune Peninsula Park. Air pollution from the smelter settled on the surface soil of more than 1,000 square miles of the Puget Sound basin, but most heavily at this very skate spot. Arsenic, lead, and other heavy metals are still in the soil as a result of this pollution, and so in honor of the gnarly shit, we call this series Arsenic.
